Alan Dunne
Founder & CiO
Alan has over 30 years of experience in global financial markets across global macro and managed futures hedge funds, investment banks and institutional asset management. His work has focused on macro strategy, hedge fund allocation and portfolio construction across a wide range of market environments.
Prior to founding Archive Capital Advisors, Alan was Managing Director, Head of Markets and a member of the Investment Committee at Abbey Capital, a $6bn multi-manager alternative investment manager.
He began his career as a foreign exchange analyst and trader at Bank of America in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, and later worked at BNP Paribas in emerging markets. After returning to Dublin, he joined Allied Irish Capital Management, a global macro commodity trading advisor. He subsequently served as Investment Director of Royal Bank of Scotland’s wealth management business in Ireland, where he led the investment team and was responsible for asset allocation.
Alan writes on macroeconomic developments and portfolio construction through his Beyond the Cycle Substack and LinkedIn newsletter The All Weather Investor, and is co-host of the Top Traders Unplugged allocator series. He is also a regular contributor to financial media.
Alan is a CFA Charterholder and holds an MSc in Investment Management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, an MBA from Smurfit Business School, and a BA (Mod) in Economics from Trinity College Dublin.

Harley Murphy brings over four decades of senior financial services experience across Ireland, Europe and Asia. He was Country Head of BNY Mellon in Ireland and held regional leadership roles with Mellon and ABN AMRO across multiple international markets.
A seasoned Non-Executive Director and Chairman, he has served on the boards of a bank, investment funds, fund services, life assurance and investment services firms in Ireland and Europe, most recently at LGT Fund Managers (Ireland) and previously as Chairman of Harvest Financial Services.
A qualified accountant (FCCA) with a Masters in Management and Organisational Development, he also holds post-graduate qualifications in Executive Coaching and Organisational Behaviour.

Mervin Harris has over three decades of senior investment management experience in the Irish funds industry.
He founded and led Harvest Global Asset Management as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer for over 22 years before its acquisition by ML Capital (now Waystone), where he subsequently served as CIO, Director and Chairman of the Risk Committee.
His expertise spans traditional and alternative investment strategies, with experience allocating to hedge fund and CTA strategies across global markets. He currently holds PCF-designated investment management responsibilities with regulated firms in Dublin.

Brian is Founder and CEO of LearnAltus Limited, a boutique financial training firm. LearnAltus designs and delivers training programmes which strengthen financial, commercial and strategic decision-making capabilities in organisations.
Prior to founding LearnAltus, Brian worked for over 20 years in the financial services industry where he held leadership roles in wealth management, asset finance and investment management. He has served on numerous boards including a multi-asset UCITS fund, an alternative investment fund and a large real estate investment company.
Brian is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a graduate of University College Dublin.
